Egytec is the brainchild of Amr Shawki who realized in 1990 a market need for industry-networking in Egypt, Middle East and Africa. The 1980's brought the advent of international companies into the region who needed to collaborate with local agents and resources. Hence Egytec Engineering was founded to bring together regularly, local and international professionals, agents, suppliers and industry leaders. Industry exhibitions and conferences were since created and managed by the company to open channels and promote companies within their industries.

In 2000's Egytec' activities soon evolved to provide advice on various industry related activities. Tapping into its global industry networks, Egytec is well on the road with its vision of helping develop key industries within the region.
